Linking Traveler and User Profiles - Operator Users

Use the Link Traveler feature to connect a FlightBridge User to their own Traveler Profile so they can access and update their information

You can use the Link Traveler feature to link a FlightBridge User to their Traveler Profile. Once the profiles are linked, users can access their account and update their contact info, loyalty numbers and preferences.  Alert: The ability to link Traveler and User profiles is only accessible by Operator Users with Admin permissions. 

  1.  To link a user with an existing traveler profile go to Setup > Users from the blue menu bar.


  2. Select the User from the listing. You can use the search field to narrow down the results returned.


  3. Once within the Edit User screen, click Link to an existing traveler profile.


  4. Type the Traveler's name in the text field and select from the options that appear.


    If the Traveler's name does not populate, the system is not locating a matching Traveler Profile. You can create a new Traveler profile in the following ways:
        
    Operators with Scheduling System Integrations - Pax/Crew Traveler profiles are passed through to FlightBridge via the integration when a crew member is assigned or a passenger is added to a trip within the scheduling system.

    Non-Integrated Operators using Trip Editor - Traveler profiles can be created at the time of booking a service such as a Hotel or Rental car. They can also be manually created by going to the blue menu bar and selecting Setup > Pax/Crew > +Add Traveler. However, you can create a new Traveler profile directly from the Edit User screen as shown below:

  5. Select Yes to limit the User to only see trips for that designated person. A typical use of this is to limit a crew member to just his or her own trips. Select Go back to clear the selection and start over.


  6. Click  when you are finished updating the Edit User screen.

  7. If you click on the User from the Company Users screen, you will be able to see the Linked Traveler Profile.


  1. To unlink the Traveler Profile from the User, go to Setup > Users from the blue menu bar.


  2. Select the User from the listing. You can use the search field to narrow down the results returned.


  3. Once within the Edit User screen, click Unlink from Traveler.


  4. Click Unlink to confirm the request to unlink the pax/crew traveler profile.

Creating a User via the Traveler Profile will automatically link the Traveler Profile with the User Profile. Click here to learn more → Add User via the Traveler Profile.

Alert: The system will default certain permission settings within the User's profile if a User Profile is created from within the Traveler Profile.

Upon selecting Create User Account within the Traveler Profile, you will be brought to the Add User screen with fields such as the Login ID, First Name and Last Name pre-filled. In addition, the Credit Card Access will default to "This user's cards only" and the Pax and Crew permission setting will be limited to allow the User to only view trips they have been assigned to. You can edit these permissions prior to selecting Save Changes and adding the User.
