Notify Pax/Crew - Operator Users

Generate SMS or Email Notifications of Trip Details for Pax or Crew to Acknowledge

Schedulers and dispatchers can generate notifications of leg details to crews and passengers in FlightBridge by the preferred SMS or Email method.  The message will contain leg information including departure and arrival dates/times as well as any customized details that may be added.  It will not include confirmation details on services booked within FlightBridge. For information on generating confirmations for orders, please see Confirmation Notes and Details - Operator Users.

Info: By default, notifications are available in the Departure Services menu.  Administrators may add this option to the Arrival Services menu also, under Company Preferences>Exclude Service Request Type from Menus.  Setup of Traveler Preferences to Receive Notifications may also be done by an administrator on the account or by the Traveler on their own behalf if they have a user account linked to their traveler profile.

Setup Traveler Preferences to Receive Notifications

  1. Administrators: Go to Setup>Traveler Profiles and select a traveler to edit
Traveler Users: Go to Setup>My Account.
  2. On the Traveler Data tab, enter an Email Address and/or a Mobile/Cell/SMS Number.
  3. Select the Preferred Contact Method of Email, SMS or both Email and SMS.
  4. Click Save.

Send Notifications

  1. From the trip listing, click on the trip to expand the details, click Add departure service and select Notify Pax/Crew.

  2. The passenger list will be expanded by default and you may also click on Unnotified Crew to expand the list of Crew members.
  3. You will see the preferred Notification Preference which was selected in the profile.  If this needs to be adjusted, you may quickly access the traveler profile to make adjustments by clicking on the pax or crew name.
  4. Select the box next to the traveler(s) you wish to notify.
  5. The Subject line and Message body will be auto populated with a default message. These may be updated or added to by typing in the box, or by adding Standard Notes.
  6. Click Send Notification to generate the message to the selected recipients.

Acknowledging Notifications

Crews and/or Passengers will receive the notification via SMS or email and may reply back with a message as appropriate.

The status of the message will automatically be updated in FlightBridge with a date and time stamp when a message has been sent to a traveler and when the message has been acknowledged.  If the recipient replies back, the reply message will display with the status.
