When a commercial air booking is made in FlightBridge, the system passes a generic seat request to ensure that a non-middle seat is guaranteed as soon as possible.
- If an assignment is successful, you will see it display on your flight itinerary.
- The automated seat assignment process prioritizes window/aisle and will default to middle seats only when there are no other non-paid options available.
- If an assignment is not successful, it may not be supported by the airline. You will see -- indicating no seat is assigned.
Once the airline reservation made within FlightBridge has gone to "Ticketed" status, you can proceed with selecting a different seat, upgrading an existing seat or adding baggage.
To do so, you can access the airline's mobile app or use the link on the Airline Booking detail page within FlightBridge to Manage your reservation with Airline, which will take you to the airline's website.
You will then enter the passenger first and last name and the Airline Reference ID to access the reservation. Once the reservation is located, you can proceed with updating the booking details accordingly.
