Modify a Hotel Booking

Follow the below steps to modify the name of the guest on a hotel booking.

Info: Currently, only guest name changes are supported by the GDS for hotel bookings. If you need to modify the check-in/check-out dates, we suggest rebooking the room for the new dates and then canceling the original booking. Click here to learn more → Cancellation of Bookings - FBO Users

  1. Click on the associated confirmation number of the booking in need of modification.


     
  2. Ensure the checkbox is selected next to the guest's name and click Change Guest.


     
  3. Select the new guest from the dropdown or enter their name and loyalty number if applicable. Select Save to confirm.


     
  4. The new guest's name will now be associated with the original confirmation number.


     

Name changes at Marriott Hotels

All name changes at Marriot hotels go into a queue that have to be manually updated in Marriott’s front desk system. 

We recommend that anytime possible, you rebook under the new guest's name and then cancel the previous booking in order to avoid the possibility that a name change could be overlooked.  If you are in the penalty period for cancellation and need to submit the name change instead of rebooking,  a best practice would be to ensure that the new guest has the confirmation number on hand for check-in as a backup.

 

Modify a Rental Car Booking

Follow the below steps to modify a rental car booking.

  1. Click on the associated confirmation number of the booking in need of modification.


     
  2. Ensure the checkbox is selected next to the driver's name and click Modify reservation.


     
  3. Modify the reservation accordingly and click Select Vehicle for new rates and availability.



     
  4. Your modified booking changes will be displayed.
