Flight Following is an available module on your custom schedule that allows you to track flight status changes and easily send email updates to trip stakeholders as events occur.

Color coded flight status updates in real time on your schedule view.

Alerts will generate on legs that are behind schedule. The default time for "late" is 20 minutes past the scheduled departure time. This may be configured company wide in the FF setup by an account administrator. 

Setting up the Flight Following Module

  1. Reach out to FlightBridge Support to request to add the Flight Following module.

  2. Once the module has been created, you can begin using it by going to Trips > Schedules.

  3. You may also access the module for individual legs from the Trip Listing page by selecting the radio symbol in the leg header.
     

Utilizing the Flight Following Module

  1. Left click on a tile under the Flight Following column on your schedule view.

  2. Flight times and aircraft statuses can be configured to update automatically through the optional FlightAware Global integration or may be adjusted manually by account users.

  3. Flight Following email notifications are automatically sent to stakeholders or can be manually generated by account users.

  4. Click Save to record your updates. Click Save and Send to record your updates and manually send the Flight Following email notification.

Info: Select History to view the date, time and user stamp of time, statuses and notifications.


The email recipients will receive a branded email with the details of the aircraft movement.

Info: If you have not already done so, please send a .jpeg or .png file of your logo to FlightBridge Support to be uploaded to your account. This will ensure that the emails generated to your stakeholders will display your brand.
